Doris Elaine (Jacobs) Williams

Doris Elaine (Jacobs) Williams passed from this life in her home in Bedias, Texas on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the age of 85 following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Williams formerly resided in Green Lake, Calhoun County, Texas. She was born to the late Nelson Otto "Jake" Jacobs and Mary Priscilla "Edith" Coffey Jacobs on April 15, 1931 in Mercedes, Hildago County, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Alice Ann Jacobs Gerdes.

Doris was devoted to her husband. She spent many hours working by his side on their ranch in Bedias. Doris was talented in many areas including being an excellent seamstress, accomplished cook, avid gardener, and creator of many artful crafts. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and created baby blankets for each of them. Doris enjoyed reading and putting puzzles together. She never had an idle moment. Doris was a member of the church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years Marvin Williams; daughter Melonie Masih and husband Peter of Bedias; son "Jimmy" James Williams and wife Debbie of Huntsville; son Wesley "Wes" Williams and wife Tracie of Argyle; daughter Shirley Wachtendorf and husband Paul of Victoria. Grandchildren: Rachel Braden and John Masih; Kim Santibanez and Heather Penick; Jessica Martinez, Ty Williams, Jay Williams; Jake Wachtendorf and Jerad Wachtendorf. Great grandchildren: Hannah and Elisabeth Braden; Hadley Santibanez; Kaliya Williams and Tyler Penick; Jaxsyn and Jaidyn Wachtendorf.

Pallbearers: Jimmy Williams, Wesley Williams, John Masih, Jake Wachtendorf, Jay Williams, and Peter Masih

Private family burial service will be observed with interment at Memory Gardens, Victoria, Texas. Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Bedias, Texas are in charge of arrangements.
