Louis Coffey was born January 29,1861,departed this life May 19,1936.He professes a hope in Christ in 1897 and joined the Bethlehem church,during his life time as a Christian,he was a devoted and faithful servant,in his home he was a father who tried to teach his children the ways of God.Just before he died when he had called his friends around his bed to sing his most beloved song(How Beautiful Heaven Must Be)he said he wasn't afraid to died for the old account was settled long ago.He left in this cold hearted world,a wife and six children,but we feel that if we live a true life some sweet morning we'll see his smiling face again.

Mrs. Minda Coffey, aged 87, died here Wednesday, March 9, at her home in North Oneida. She was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist church and a splendid Christian woman, having a large number of friends.

Survivors are: 1 son, Joe Coffey, of Whitley City, Ky., four daughters, Mrs. Hettie Lipscomb, Mrs. Blick Turner; Mrs. Pearl Strunk, and Mrs. Florence Trammell, all of Oneida; 1 brother, John Litton of Oneida; one sister Mrs. Rosetta Terry, of Oneida; 38 grand children, and 25 great-grand children.

Funeral services were conducted at the Oak Grove Baptist church Thursday at 2:00 p. m., the pastor, Rev. Roy Blevins, officiating. Interment in the Litton cemetery with Hickman's in charge.
