Larkin Coffey
North Wilkesboro, Dec. 5 - Larkin C. Coffey, 74, of North Wilkesboro died this morning in Wilkes General Hospital after an illness of three weeks. He was employed by Horne Chair Co. and was the oldest member of the firm.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lessie Coffey; four sons, Clyde Coffey of High Point, Spain Coffey of Seattle, Wash., Paul Coffey of Greensboro and Alvin Coffey of Hampton, Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Banner Wyatt of High Point and Mrs. D. C. Coffey of Newport News, Va.; a brother, Nick Coffey of Wilbar; two sisters, Mrs. Becky Bumgarner of Route 3, North Wilkesboro and Mrs. Caroline Key of Laurel Springs.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Roger Collins, the Rev. Curtis Johnson and the Rev. C. E. Knowles. Burial will be in Mount Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Lessie died of acute necrotizing enteritis on 7 January 1968 at the age of 80 at Wilkes General Hospital in North Wilkesboro, Wilkes Co., NC and was buried at North Wilkesboro, Wilkes Co., NC on 9 January 1968.15135

Clyde Coffey was born on 7 December 1909 in Wilkes Co., NC.15136 He lived with his parents in North Wilkesboro, Wilkes Co., NC on 29 April 1910. He lived with his parents in North Wilkesboro, Wilkes Co., NC on 5 April 1930. Clyde died at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Hampton, VA on 10 April 1995 and a memorial service was held at Hampton, VA at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home on 13 April 1995.15137

HAMPTON - Clyde Coffey, 86, formerly of Seattle, Wash., died Monday, April 10, 1995, in Riverside Regional Medical Center.

A native of Wilkes County, N.C., he had been a resident of Hampton for the past year after having spent most of his life as a cowboy working at numerous ranches throughout the Midwest, driving cattle and tending to horses.

Survivors include two sisters, Florine Coffey of Hampton and Hazel Wyatt of High Point, N.C.; one brother, Al Coffey of Hampton; two nieces, Jo Ann Johnson and Kay Bateman, both of Hampton, and numerous other nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 1955 [sic] [1995], at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor David E. Hagee.
