LENOIR - Ms. Lillie Mae Coffey, 74, of Lenoir, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Born June 7, 1932, in Avery County, Ms.

Coffey was a daughter of the late Ernest Clinton and Rosa Lee Chambers Coffey. She is survived by one niece, Brenda Sheppard and husband, James, of Patterson; two nephews, Jerry Coffey and Billy Coffey, both of Granite Falls; two great-nieces, Jessica Sheppard of Patterson and Dreama Coffey of Lenoir; and two great-nephews, Adam Killian and Blake Coffey, both of Granite Falls.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Clinton Coffey; and her half brother, Roy Lee Coffey. A celebration of Ms. Coffey's life will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007, at Jesus Life Center in Long View, with Pastor Tim Woodruff officiating. Memorials may be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood St., NW, Lenoir, N.C. 28645.
