David Coffey

David C. Coffey, 79, of Cary's Flat community, died Thursday, April 6, 1995 in Sloop Memorial Hospital in Crossnore.

He was a native of Avery County and the son of the late Julius and Aster Dellinger Coffey.

Mr. Coffey was a member of New Hopewell Baptist Church and had worked for Maxwell-Royal Furniture of Hickory.

He is survived by one sister, Edith Vines of Cary's Flat.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at New Hopewell Baptist Church with the Revs. Douglas Bare and David Benfield officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 tonight at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home in Newland.
