Ollie Coffey

Ollie Lou Day Coffey, 87, of Lenoir, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Coffey was born April 25, 1921 in Wilkes County to the late James Day and Martha Barnette Day. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Henry S. Coffey, two daughters, three brothers and three sisters.

She was a member of Stone Mountain Community Church.

Survivors include her sons, Howard Coffey, Clint Coffey, Boone Coffey, Arvil Coffey and Arlie Coffey, all of Lenoir; her daughters, Bonnie Watson of Yadkinville, Pat Whitaker of Mocksville and Joann McCall of Lenoir; 29 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Coffey will be held Saturday, May 24 at Stone Mountain Community Church at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Clarence Widener and the Rev. Phillip Coffey officiating. Mrs. Coffey will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Coffey Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today, May 23 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Pendry's Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Coffey, Michael Coffey, Freddie Coffey, Clint Coffey Jr., Dale Hall and Daniel Coffey.
