Clint Allen Coffey, Sr., age 73, of Lenoir, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at his residence. 

He was born April 10, 1945 in Caldwell County to the late Henry S. and Ollie Day Coffey. 

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Coffey; his daughter, Tammy Edwards Coffey; brother, Howard Coffey; two sisters, Barbara Ann Coffey and Betty Sue Coffey.

Mr. Coffey retired from Bernhardt Furniture and was of the Baptist faith.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Michael Coffey and Clint Coffey, Jr. and wife Leslie both of Lenoir; daughters; Lola Oakes and Regina Burgett both of Lenoir; three brothers; Boone Coffey and wife Janice, Arvil Coffey, and Arlie Coffey and wife Lisa all of Lenoir; three sisters; Joann McCall and husband Leonard of Lenoir, Bonnie Watson and husband Tim of Yadkinville, and Pat Whitaker and husband Ray of Mocksville. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and family on Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home. A private burial will immediately follow the visitation.

Clinton Allen Coffey and Bonnie Joyce Hamby were married on 20 June 1966 in Caldwell Co., NC.43859,43860 Bonnie Joyce Hamby, daughter of Dewey Hamby and Letha Watson, was born on 5 November 1948 in Caldwell Co., NC. Bonnie died at home in Lenoir, Caldwell Co., NC on 18 March 2016 and was buried at Stone Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery in Old Fort, McDowell Co., NC on 20 March 2016 .43861

Bonnie Joyce Hamby Coffey, age 67, of Greenwood Drive, Lenoir, passed away, Friday, March 18, 2016, at the residence. She was born November 5, 1948, in Caldwell County to the late Dewey Hamby and Letha Watson Hamby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Ann Edwards; and two half-brothers.

Mrs. Coffey was a homemaker and a member of Stone Mountain Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Clint Allen Coffey, Sr. of the home; two sons, Clint Allen Coffey, Jr. and wife Leslie and Michael A. Coffey, both of Lenoir; two daughters, Lola M. Oakes and Regina A. Burgett, both of Lenoir; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 20, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Stone Mountain Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Clarence Widener. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
