Lloyd A. Coffey, Jr.

A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, 2000, in Rockwood Christian Church for Lloyd A. Coffey Jr., who died Aug. 6 at age 69.

Mr. Coffey was born June 29, 1931, in Tacoma. He was raised in Washington and California. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He moved to Portland in the late 1960s. He was a meat cutter for several companies, including Strohecker's, Safeway, Thriftway and Albertson's, for 25 years. He also owned and operated several pubs, including Puff's Pub in Gresham for five years. He moved to Boulder City, Nev., in 1999. In 1964, he married Dolores "Laurie" Morasch.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Julia Mendoza and Suzanne Moore; stepfather, Melvin Kouse; and three grandchildren. His son, Dana, died in the late 1990s.

Disposition was by cremation. The family suggests remembrances to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are by Valley Memorial Funeral Home in Las Vegas. He was cremated in August 2000 in Portland, Multnomah Co., OR.

According to Dana's obituary, Lloyd and Ann apparently divorced and, both remarried someone else.
