Cecil died on 29 March 2004 at the age of 91 at Hill Country Memorial Hospital in Fredericksburg, Gillespie Co., TX and was buried at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa, Ector Co., TX.38832,38833

ODESSA - Cecil Welch, 91, of Fredricksburg, passed away Monday, March 29, 2004, at the Hill Country Memorial Hospital in Fredricksburg. He was born August 21, 1912, in Atoka, Okla.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. and the San Juan Lodge #25 Masonic Lodge in Aztec, N.M.

He is survived by his wife, Freda Welch of Fredricksburg; son, John Welch of Pittsburgh, Pa.; daughter, Rebecca Watson of Fredricksburg; three grandchildren, Joanna Watson of Fredricksburg, Shelby and Sean Welch, both of Pittsburgh, Pa.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2004, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Cecil Welch was a pipeliner and a heavy equipment operator who worked in the oilpatch most of his life. The family lived in Odessa, Ector, Texas for many years, but moved to Fredericksburg, TX, a few years before his death.

Cecil Welch and Freda Juanita Clark were married circa 1940. Freda Juanita Clark was born in January 1918.
