William & Edward Lawless vs Jane Coffey and the heirs of Cleveland Coffey.
Filed June 1818, box 8, fragment in box 7 - in 1813 William and Edward Lawless purchased of Cleveland Coffey a tract of land containing 101 acres. It adjoined Fielding Coffey, William Lair and others and was land on which Elizabeth Carter "now lives" on the waters of Greasy Creek. Cleveland Coffey made a bond to make a deed when debt from land was paid. The Lawless men wanted a deed.

Coffey had since died and left children: George; Caty; Patsey Hays, wife of Gabriel Hays; Humphrey; Elijah and --?-- Coffey (Last child left blank in paperwork). Cleveland's widow, Jane Coffey, was made administrator. Mention made of… Nathan Coffey. Contains a plat map of the land.

Box 7 fragment contains only a summons for Jane Coffey, widow and administrator of Cleveland Coffey, deceased, and George, Caty, humphrey, Elijah, Cleveland Jr., Jane and Walton Coffey, children and heirs of Cleveland Coffey.
