Peggy Robertson

Peggy Ann Robertson, 68, of Lee Pearson Road, Granite Falls, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at Catawba Valley Medical Center.

She was born May 24, 1941, in Watauga County to the late Andrew Jackson and Alberta Coffey Jennings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Robertson; two brothers; and four sisters.

Mrs. Robertson was retired from Lenoir Mirror and was of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald Maltba and wife Cynthia, and Timothy Maltba and wife Tonia, both of Lenoir; three daughters, Mrs. Cynthia Coffey and husband Gary of Lenoir, Ms. Penny Gragg of Blowing Rock, and Mrs. Nancy January and husband David of Granite Falls; one brother, Bobby Jennings of California; two sisters, Mrs. Essie Crump of Hickory and Mrs. Virginia Killian of Lenoir; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Donna O'Neal and the Rev. Ronald Leasure. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens of Lenoir.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Coffey, Johnny Rowe, Matthew January, Cody Maltba, Jody Maltba and Michael Matheson.
