Carolyn was a longtime, devoted member of Oakhurst Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher. She loved her church and gave many hours of volunteer service.

Carolyn is survived by her son Henry and his wife Danielle and their children Brenna (8) and Emma (5) of Charlotte, NC and Jeff Nash of Wilmington, NC. Her sisters: Jacqueline C. Davidson and her husband Roy and Joyce C. Dieringer, all of Charlotte, NC. She also had many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that she loved very much.

The great joy of her life was spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters, Brenna and Emma. She loved baking cakes and cookies with the girls on Saturday mornings. It always brought a smile seeing them put on "plays" in her high heels.

Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 11-11:45 a.m.

The family would like to express our appreciation to Dr. Dalto and associates of more than 30 years and Dr. Alexander. Thank you also to the nurses and all of those involved in her care at Presbyterian Hospital over the years of her illness.
