LYNDHURST — Darlene Edith Dedrick, 59, of 68 Blackford Way passed away early Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007, at her residence. Born June 4, 1948, in Charlottesville, she was a daughter of the late Owen Wilson Coffey and Crystal Edith (Henderson) Coffey, who survives.

She was a member of Wayside Baptist Church of Crimora and was employed in the housekeeping department for Valley Program for Aging Services in Waynesboro.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Faye Kite. Survivors, in addition to her mother of Stuarts Draft, include her husband, Charles "Woody" Dedrick; a son, William Edward "Junior" Miller of Staunton; three daughters, Tina Kern of Verona, Teresa Bolen of Williamsburg, W.Va., and Trina Campbell of Stuarts Draft; one sister, Lovie Coffman of Sycamore, Pa; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, with Gary Spradlin officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be her grandsons and sons-in-law.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, at the funeral home.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes of Waynesboro.
