WAYNESBORO -- Owen Wilson Coffey, 75, of 112 S. Delphine Ave., died Saturday morning [March 7,1992] in his residence.

He was born Jan.21,1917 in Love, a son of Henry Lee and Millie Ann (Campbell) Coffey. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was retired from Virginia Metal Crafters.

Survivors include three daughters, Faye Kite of Stuarts Draft, Lovie Coffman of Waynesburg, Pa., and Darlene Dedrick of Staunton; two sisters, Eva Coffey of Waynesboro and Mary Hewitt of Lyndhurst; and nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Waynesboro chapel of Etter Funeral Home by the Rev. T.Ray Coffey with burial in Mt. Top Christian Church Cemetery.

The Stuarts Draft V.F.W. Post No. 9339 will conduct military rites at the graveside.

Pallbearers will be Charles Dedrick, David Coffman, Kenneth Glass, Kenneth Kite, William Miller Jr. and Owen Coffman.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Crystal died at Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville, Augusta Co., VA on 25 April 2008 and was buried at Mountain View Mennonite Church Cemetery in Sherando, Augusta Co., VA on 28 April 2008 .28541

Crystal Edith (Henderson) Coffey, 86, of Stuarts Draft, passed away Friday, April 25, 2008, at Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville.

Born August 8, 1921, in Augusta County, she was a daughter of the late Robert "Bob' Denton and Lena (Campbell) Henderson. Mrs. Coffey was the last surviving member of her immediate family. 

A current member of Faith Worship Center, Mrs. Coffey was devoted to her faith. In her youth, Mrs. Coffey had a fond affinity for quilting and also had fond likeness for cleaning. After 11 years of devout service, Mrs. Coffey retired from the Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center in Fishersville. Above all the things that Mrs. Coffey loved to do, nothing could surpass the love and adoration that she had and shared with all her children. 

In addition to her parents, her husband, Owen Wilson Coffey; two daughters, Faye Yvonne Kite and Darlene Edith Dedrick; as well as a great-granddaughter, Angel Miller, preceded Mrs. Coffey in death.

Mrs. Coffey is survived by her daughter, Lovie Coffman and her husband David, of Sycamore, Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren, Denise Birch, Cheryl Dukate, Eleanor "Ellie" Smith, Lois "Kay" Roupe, Owen Richard Coffman, Tina Kern, Teresa Bolen, William Edward "Junior" Miller, and Trina Campbell; 21 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2008, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 West Main Street, with Pastor Dennis Bradley officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Mennonite Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and sons-in-law.

The family will be receiving friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2008, at the funeral home.
