"Waynesboro, Aug. 20 - A funeral service was held Thursday for Henry Lee Coffey, 88, former resident of Love, Va., who died Tuesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Anna Thompson, Route 2, Lynchburg.

"He was a retired farmer, a member of Church of the Brethren. His wife, Mrs. Millie Campbell Coffey, died on Feb. 3, 1938. He is survived by three sons, Callie and Killie Coffey, both of Lyndhurst, and Owen of Waynesboro; four daughters, Mrs. Thompson of Lynchburg; Mrs. Rufus Campbell, of Roseland; Mrs. Mary Heuitt and Mrs. Mack Coffey, both of Lyndhurst; one sister, Mrs. Cyrus Coffey, of Love; 27 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

"The service was held at Love Christian Church, with interment in the church cemetery."

"Mrs. Henry Coffey

"Waynesboro - Funeral of Mrs. Mildred A. Coffey, wife of Henry Coffey, will be held at Love, Nelson County, today at 2 P.M. with the Rev. Ulysses S. Campbell of Stuarts Draft in charge of the services. Mrs. Campbell [sic] died at her home near Sherando Thursday morning after a long illness.

"Surviving are her husband; three sons, Callie Coffey of Love, Kelley and Owen Coffey, Sherando, and four daughters, Mrs. Annie Thompson, Wintergreen; Mrs. Eliza Campbell, Roseland; Mrs. Mary Hewett, Lyndhurst, and Miss Eva Coffey, Sherando."
