Torrey Road, Lyndhurst passed away Monday night, November 29, 2004 at her residence. She was born April 26, 1905 at Love, VA., daughter of Henry Lee and Millie Ann Campbell Coffey. Mrs. Hewitt was a member of Mt. Top Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earsie Hewitt in 1978, her son Clester Hewitt in 1979, one grandson, Eddie Hewitt in 1994 and her brothers and sisters. Mrs. Hewitt was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include one grandson, Ernie Hewitt of Lyndhurst, one great-grandson, Travis Hewitt and his mother Jo Ann Hewitt of Waynesboro, one great-great-grandson, Travis Hewitt II of Waynesboro, nieces, nephews and many special friends. The service will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Funeral Service by Rev. Alton Wilson with burial following at Mt. Top Christian Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Ed Fitzgerald, Rodney Johnson, Paul Floyd, Ken Floyd, Bill Waggy and Clement Waggy Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Buck Hiner, Guy Hoy, William Demastus, Neil Brydge, Eddie Lowery, Wayne Lowery, Timmy Lam and Robert Lam. The family will receive friends 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Reynolds Funeral Service of Waynesboro. Hewitt and Ida Campbell, was born on 1 May 1904 in Lyndhurst, Augusta Co., VA.
