Harry C. Livingston

Funeral for Harry Clyde Livingston, 2421 SE Ash St., will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Ross Hollywood Chapel. Vault interment will be at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Livingston died Tuesday. He [w]as born April 14, 1885 in Owen County, Ind. He had resided in Portland 71 years.

He was a member of First Christian Church for 65 years and was a draftsman for Portland General Electric Co. 35 years.

A former member of the Multnomah Athletic Club, Mr. Livingston received two second place medals in handball competition in the AAU world's tournament in 1905. He also played basketball.

Survivors include his widow, Bertha F.; one son, Paul Vane, and two brothers, Wallace N. and Frank W., Portland.

A private service will be held for Paul Vane Livingston, who died of cancer Oct. 2, 1998, at age 83. 

Mr. Livingston was born Nov. 25, 1914, in Portland. He graduated from Washington High School and served in the U.S. Army 10th Mountain Division in World War II, mostly in Italy. He worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Alaska until his retirement, when he returned to Portland. 

Survivors include his cousins, Virginia Snyder of Portland and Betty Fallas of Netarts. 

Private interment is in Lincoln Memorial Park. The family suggests remembrances to the Mazamas. Arrangements are by Lincoln Memorial Park & Funeral Home.
