GREENSBORO Mrs. Billie Coffey Hooks, age 85, passed away October 9, 2016 at her residence.A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at George Brothers Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.

Mrs. Hooks was a graduate of Greensboro High School, and retired from Joseph Ruzicka Book Binding Company after 30 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband. Jack Daryl Hooks; and twin sons. Ricky and Dicky Hooks.

Mrs. Hooks is survived by her children. Deborah Holliman, Chuck Hooks, Kathy Hooks, and Randy Hooks. all of Greensboro. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Special "Thank You" to Kim Jones for the help and care she provided over the years.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m to 11 a.m. Friday at George Brothers Funeral Service.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Guilford County Humane Society, 4525 W. Wendover Ave., Greensboro, NC 27409.

Billie Coffey and Jack Daryl Hooks were married. Jack Daryl Hooks, son of Claude Hooks and Essie Garrett, was born on 26 November 1931 in Guilford Co., NC. Jack died in Greensboro, Guilford Co., NC on 8 December 1982 of lung cancer and was buried at Greensboro, Guilford Co., NC on 12 December 1982.44412,44413

GREENSBORO MAN, 47, DIES IN ONE-CAR WRECK SATURDAY

A Greensboro man is dead after a one-car accident Saturday evening.

Richard Lee Hooks , 47, of 4901 Woodwind Drive died after driving his car off Wiley-Lewis Road and into a ditch, according to the Highway Patrol.
According to a report written by Trooper N.C. Foster, Hooks was driving eastbound on Wiley-Lewis Road near Pleasant Garden Road when he ran off the right side of the road. His vehicle then crossed back across the road, drove off the left side of the road, hit the ditch and overturned.
The report said that alcohol was involved in the accident and that Hooks was wearing a seatbelt.

Mr. Richard Lee "Dicky" Hooks of 4901 Woodwind Drive, died Saturday, July 8, 2000, at Moses Cone Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2000, in Guilford Memorial Park.

Mr. Hooks was a native of Greensboro and was employed as a maintenance technician at L and E Packaging.

Mr. Hooks is survived by his wife, Pam of the home; his mother, Billy Coffee Hooks of Greensboro; two daughters, Alisha Hooks and Amanda Hooks; one son, Derrick Hooks, all of the home; two sisters, Deborah Holoman and Kathy Hooks, both of Greensboro; three brothers; a twin brother, Ricky Hooks, Chuck Hooks and wife, Renee and Randy Hooks, all of Greensboro.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. this evening at Forbis & Dick, North Elm Street Chapel.

Rubin Lynn "Ricky" Hooks was born on 19 November 1953 in Guilford Co., NC. Rubin died in Greensboro, Guilford Co., NC on 19 March 2008 his remains were cremated and location of ashes is unknown to me.44417

GREENSBORO - Mr. Rubin "Rick" Lynn Hooks, 54, lost his courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at Beacon Place.

A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, at George Brothers Funeral Service.

Rick was born November 19, 1953, in Guilford County, to his late father, Daryl Hooks and mother, Billie Coffey Hooks of Greensboro. He was a 1972 graduate of Ben L. Smith High School, and was employed for 17 years with Avert Dennison and most recently with Caraustar until his illness.

In addition to his father, Rich was also preceded in death by his twin brother, Richard Lee "Dicky" Hooks.

Rick is survived by his fiance, Christina Golden of Greensboro; sisters, Deborah Holliman and her fiance, Jerry Rollins, and Katherine Hooks of Greensboro; brothers, Chuck Hooks and wife, Renee of Greensboro and Randy Hooks of Richmond, Va.; sister-in-law, Pam Hooks of Greensboro and close friend, Jim Dial of Bristol, Tenn. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends following the memorial service.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Beacon Place for the care and support they received through Rick's illness.
