A funeral service for Wallace C. Coffey, 76, of Route 1, Lyndhurst, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Mountain View Mennonite Church, conducted by the Revs. Roy D. Kiser, Paul R. Barnhart, John D. Martin and B. Frank Hatter. Burial will be in the Mountain Top Christian Church cemetery at Love.

Mr. Coffey died Monday at Waynesboro Community Hospital.

He was born in Nelson County on April 25, 1892, a son of the late Henry J. and Mildred Jane Dodd Coffey.

Mr. Coffey was a member of Mountain View Mennonite Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Martha Goode Coffey; three sons, Boyd T. Coffey of Falls Church, Harvey A. Coffey and Samuel R. Coffey, both at home; two daughters, Mrs. Nellie Marie Umbarger of Ceres and Mrs. Edna Elizabeth Coffey of Stuarts Draft; three brothers, Noel B. Coffey of Alexandria, Marion F. Coffey of Woodbridge, and Watson C. Coffey of Washington, D. C.; one sister, Mrs. Nannie M. McGrady of Washington, D. C.; 18 grand-children, 16 great-grandchildren, and 19 nieces and nephews.

The body will remain at Etter Funeral Home until 9 a.m. Friday when it will be placed in the church.

Wallace Clinton Coffey and Martha Goode were married on 12 September 1915 in Love, Augusta Co., VA. They appeared in the census on 12 February 1920 in South River Dist., Augusta Co., VA.²⁹²²⁹ They^²⁹²²⁹ appeared in the census on 21 April 1930 on the Ladd to Fishersville Road in South River Dist., Augusta Co., VA.²⁹²³⁰ Martha Goode was born on 30 July 1892 in Virginia. Martha died on 17 September 1983 at the age of 91 at Waynesboro Community Hospital in Waynesboro, Independent City, VA and was buried at Mountain Top Christian Church Cemetery in Love, Augusta Co., VA.^{29231,29232,29233}
