Reuben died of a cerebral thrombosis on 15 November 1955 at the age of 85 at Glenhaven Nursing Home in Hickory, Lovelady Twp., Caldwell Co., NC and was buried at Blowing Rock, Watauga Co., NC on 17 November 1955.19362,19363,19364

I believe that this Reuben Finley was the son of Joseph Coffey, son of Zachariah, and Elizabeth Gragg. The Caldwell Co. death records, book 42, page 42, lists the death of Reuben Finley in 1955 as son of Joseph Coffey and Elizabeth Gragg.

Reuben Finley Coffey and Flora Ellen Hollifield were married on 14 December 1893 in Yadkin Valley, Caldwell Co., NC.15328 They15328 appeared in the census on 13 June 1900 in Yadkin Valley, Caldwell Co., NC.19365 They19365 appeared in the census on 18 May 1910 in Globe Twp., Caldwell Co., NC.19366 Reuben and Flora19366 appeared in the census on 5 February 1920 in Watauga Co., NC.19367 They19367 appeared in the census on 2 April 1930 in Watauga Co., NC.19368 They19368 appeared in the census on 23 April 1940 in Watauga Twp., Watauga Co., NC.19369

According to the publication Watauga County Heritage, Reuben and Flora lived in the Coffey Gap area of Watauga Co. They were members of the Boone Fork Baptist Church and are buried in that cemetery. Flora Ellen Hollifield, daughter of Wiley Hollifield and Mary Ann Reid, was born on 27 May 1876 in Yadkin Valley, Caldwell Co., NC. Flora died on 18 November 1956 at the age of 80 in Yadkin Valley, Caldwell Co., NC and was buried at Boone Fork Community Cemetery in Blowing Rock, Watauga Co., NC.19370,19371
