Coffey" estate to appear before the "Probate Justice" of Montgomery county, IL "on the first Monday in July next for adjustment."2975

James could be a son of Colbert by his first wife, Catherine Ellis. Catherine Nancy Ellis was born in 1810 in Kentucky.

There were no Ellis families found in the 1830 Montgomery Co. census. Catherine died in Montgomery Co., IL in 1847 and was buried at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Coffeen, Montgomery Co., IL in 1847 .2973,2978
