MARITT Eliza Marie Tescier, 88, died Oct. 17, 1999. A resident of Autumn House II in MWC, OK, she was born March 8, 1911 to John Isadore Tescier and Alice May Smith in Choctaw, OK and lived there most of her life. Preceding her in death were her parents; a baby Maritt; siblings: Clara Louise Lane, Lelia Tescier, Pauline Whisenant, May Tescier, Agnes M. Tescier, Hattie Margarette Moore, Catherine Elizabeth Bourlon, John William Tescier and George Anthony Tescier. She is survived by her children,Melvin Glen Maritt and wife Shirley of Del City, Frances Marie Gordon and husband Carl of Del City, L.R. (Bud) Maritt and wife Rilla of OKC, C.A. (Champ) Maritt of Luther, OK; sister Celestine Senora (Cis) Konechney of Choctaw, 8 grandchildren,8 great grandchildren and many, many dear cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Marie was a Potawatomi tribal member and very proud that her eldest son Mel once served as Vice Chairman of the Citizen Potawatomi Tribe. She was a child care worker at the First Baptist Church of Choctaw for many years, as well as a long-time member and was more recently a faithful member of Carter Park Baptist Church of Del City. Services will be 1:00 PM Wed., Oct. 20, 1999 at Carter Park Baptist Church with burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Choctaw, OK.
