He appeared in the census on 6 April 1930 at 29th US Infantry Barracks in United States Military Reservation, Chattahoochee Co., GA.15201 Spencer enlisted in the US Army on 26 August 1939 at North Carolina.15202 He appeared in the census on 26 April 1940 at Manchester Twp. in Fort Bragg, Cumberland Co., NC.15203 He was discharged on 17 October 1944 in Fort Bragg, Moore Co., NC15204 Spencer died in Connelly Springs, Burke Co., NC on 2 July 1973 of lung cancer and was buried at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Millers Creek, Wilkes Co., NC on 4 July 1973 .15205,15206

Spencer Conrad Coffey and Nellie L. were married. Nellie L. was born on 22 May 1914 in Wilkes Co., NC. Nellie died in Wilkes Co., NC on 7 June 1970 and was buried at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Millers Creek, Wilkes Co., NC in June 1970 .15207

Spencer Conrad Coffey and Margie Elizabeth Stirewalt were married on 19 February 1971 in Burke Co., NC.15208 Margie Elizabeth Stirewalt was born on 11 November 1919 in Bluefield, Mercer Co., WV. Margie died in Valdese, Burke Co., NC on 28 October 2001 and was buried at Mountain View Cemetery in Rutherford College, Burke Co., NC in October 2001 .15209

Mrs. Keever was born Nov. 11, 1919, in Bluefield, W.Va., to the late Russell Shook and Mae Huffman Shook. She was a retired inspector with Valdese Weavers and a member of Connelly Springs First Baptist Church.

She is proceeded in death by her husbands, Clarence Stirewalt and Conrad Coffey; three brothers, Russell Shook Jr., Claude Shook and Roy Shook; and one great-grandson, Cory Dale Hudson.

Survivors include: two sons and their wives, Joe Stirewalt and Gloria and Howard Stirewalt and Priscilla, all of Hildebran; a daughter and her husband, Linda Travis and Franklin of Conover; four sisters, Hazel Keever, Irene Queen, Ethel Andrews and Lucy Watson, all of Valdese; her husband, Bill Keever; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
