Carlos Bascom Coffey, age 76 of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2006.

Mr. Coffey, a retired construction worker, ws born to the late Cyrus Bascom and Opal Aaron Coffey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maye Cape Coffey. He was also a veteran of the US Navy.

Mr. Coffey is survived by two sons, Gary Coffey of Lexington, KY and Dan Coffey of Detroit, Michigan; three daughters, Carlotta (Bobby) Roach of Radcliff, KY, Diana (Dick) Hendrich of Atlanta Georgia and Deborah O'Bryan of California. Also surviving are three brothers, Lester Coffey of Jamestown; Bruce (Judy) Coffey of Milford, Ohio and Daryl (Joyce) Coffey of Mt. Washington, Kentucky and a sister Carol (David) Holt of Jamestown.

Funeral services were Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Green and Bro. Dick Scholl officiating.

Interment was in the Coffey Family Cemetery.

Carlos Bascom Coffey and Maye Cape were married. Maye Cape, daughter of Lawrence Cape and Maggie Wright, was born on 6 May 1933. Maye died on 9 June 1967 and was buried at Coffey Cemetery in Olga, Russell Co., KY on 11 June 1967 .⁴⁰⁶⁵¹
