Mrs. Nelson Coffey Dies

Mrs. Nelson C. Coffey was born Jan. 4, 1867, died at the home of her daughters, Mrs. Frank Martin, Coopersville on Oct. 10, 1957, being 90 years, 9 months and 6 days old.

She professed faith in Christ at an early age and united with the Baptist Church at Big Springs.

She has lived a devoted ad Christian life.

She was the daughter of Willis and Rachel Worley, who departed this life many years ago.

She was married in early life to Nelson C. Coffey, who preceded her in death 23 years ago.

The marriage union was blessed with 8 children, six of shom survive her. Mrs. Frank Martin, Coopersville; Mrs. Johnnie Denney, Oil Valley; Mrs. Robert Blake, Indianapolis, Ind.; Albert, Cincinnati; James, Mooresville, Ind.; Wilburn, Cutler, Ind., and is survived by a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren and many, many friends. She is also the family of 7 children which one brother, Willie Worley, McCreary County, survive her.

She was a devoted wife and mother and a true Christian.

Services at Canadas Creek Baptist Church Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Oct. 12, 1957 by Rev. Sam Hicks, Pastor. Burial in Oil Valley Cemetery with the hickey Funeral Home in Charge.
