Hartley

Passed May 7, 1968, in the Louisa Medical Center, at the age of 91 years, Charles Lewis Hartley. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Randolph Carter of Lenoir, N. C., and Mrs. C. Meredith Richardson of Pendleton, Va., Mrs. W. Alyn Martin of Louisa; two sons, James C. and R. C. Hartley, both of Buckner, Va.; 23 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 9, at 3:30 p.m. from the Woodward Funeral Home. Interment in Hillcrest Cemetery, Louisa, Va.

Mrs. Charlie L. Hartley

Louisa, June 19 -- Mrs. Margaret Cowles Hartley, wife of Charlie L. Hartley, died Saturday at her home in Buckner. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the Episcopal Church in Mineral, Louisa County, with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. Surviving, besides her husband, are four daughters, Mrs. C. Meredith Richardson, Mrs. Alyn Martin, Mrs. H. C. Wheeling and Mrs. Randolph Carter; two sons, J. C. and R. C. Hartley; a sister, two brothers, 23 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
