"Lynchburg - Funeral services will be held in Lynchburg for Percy Stewart Coffey, 58, formerly of Nelson County, who died Friday in Brooklyn where he was employed in a shipyard. He is survived by his wife, the former Blanche Ricketts; two sons, Nelson Coffey, USA, and Alvin Coffey, Brooklyn; a daughter, Mrs. Don Cavanaugh of Brooklyn; a brother, Stanhope Coffey, Pittsburgh, and two sisters, Mrs. Howard Hathaway and Mrs. Shohn Shinneyworth, Pittsburgh."

Ida died on 3 October 1947 at the age of 55 in Amherst Co., VA and was buried at Union Christian Church Cemetery in Madison Heights, Amherst Co., VA.28439
