686. Cassandra Coffey was born on 23 August 1811 in Pilot Knob, KY.

Pilot Knob is not found on modern Kentucky maps. She lived with her son Arthur in Silverton, Marion Co., OR on 11 June 1880. Cassandra died on 18 January 1885 at the age of 73 in Marion Co., OR and was buried at Aumsville Cemetery in Marion Co., OR.2869,2870

Cassandra Coffey and Joseph Monroe Blackerby were married on 1 January 1834 in Pike Co., IL.2871,2872 They2871,2872 appeared in the census on 4 February 1850 in Oregon Territory.2873 They2873 appeared in the census on 5 August 1870 in Marion Co., OR.2874

There were four other children who died in infancy.

Joseph Monroe Blackerby, son of William Blackerby and Caty Haydon, was born on 17 April 1806 in Northumberland Co., VA. He patented land on 18 March 1859 at Drift Creek in Silverton, Marion Co., OR2875

BLM records at http://1.usa.gov/1O31Ryw show that Joseph and Cassandra Blackerby patented at the Oregon City Land Office a total of 641-84 acres in Marion Co., OR. The land was located in Township 75, Range 1 west, sections 8, 9 and 10. Joseph died on 19 January 1878 at the age of 71 in Silverton, Marion Co., OR and was buried at Aumsville Cemetery in Marion Co., OR.2876,2877
