4210. Ellis Coffey13632,13633 was born on 30 April 1889 in Nelson Co., VA.1124

According to original marriage license information sent to me in Jan ’06, Ellis was born Apr. 20, 1889. If he married in 1916, that would make him 27 yrs old instead of the 22 yrs given in the marriage license. Given that they were so specific with his (and her) age, I calculate that he was born 30 Apr 1894. However, his WW1 draft registration info reports his birth date as Apr. 30, 1889 and his WW2 draft card reports birth on Apr. 30, 1888. The 1889 date is probably most correct. He appeared in the census on 28 April 1910 in South River Dist., Augusta Co., VA.13634 He registered for the WWI draft on 5 June 1917 in Lyndhurst, Augusta Co., VA.13635 He registered for the WWII draft on 27 April 1942 in Lyndhurst, Augusta Co., VA.13636 Ellis died of a myocardial infarction and was buried at on 20 July 1961 at the age of 72 at home in Staunton, Independent City., VA and was buried at Hammond Chapel Cemetery in Staunton, Independent City., VA on 22 July 1961.13637,13638,13639,13640
